Dallas C. McKinley, 45, of 515 E. Chillicothe Ave., was charged Saturday with assault and aggravate menacing.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department met at 2 p.m. with Timothy Wellbaum who is the resident maintenance man for the apartments. He served McKinley with an eviction notice and it angered McKinley.
He allegedly threw the eviction notice on the floor, grabbed Wellbaum by his shirt and shoved him onto a chair. McKinley then allegedly threatened to kill Wellbaum before he sat next to Wellbaum’s fiance and threatened her.
McKinley denied the allegations as he was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Son charged with domestic violence
Daniel R. May, 56, of 509 W. Columbus Ave., Apt. 4, was charged Sunday with domestic violence.
Around 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the residence and found May intoxicated and his mother, Diane Gerber, slightly ntoxicated. She told officers her son hit her.
Officers called for a Bellefontaine squad and squad personnel determined she was unable to care for herself. She was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries.
Officers observed and documented evidence throughout the apartment that May is not properly caring for his mother. Adult protective services were called and informed of the situation.
May was lodged in jail.
