Adam S. Hartman, 35, at large, was charged Wednesday with menacing, possession of drug abuse instruments and illegal use of drug paraphernalia.
Around 3:50 p.m., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to Mary Rutan Hospital’s Emergency Department after staff activated a panic alarm.
The suspect had been at the hospital several times during the day trying to get in to see his girlfriend. She told the hospital the suspect was not welcome to see her.
Security staff told him to leave and he threatened to return. Officers stopped him as he was heading west from the hospital
Officers collected the suspect’s belongings including a backpack which contained eight hypodermic needles, a pipe for smoking marijuana and several containers for holding pills.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Teen faces theft charge
Summer R.J. McKinney, 18, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, Lot I3, Valley Hi, was charged Wednesday with theft.
Wal-Mart security staff observed her remove an electronics device from its packaging and place it in a coat pocket.
She attempted to leave the 2281 S. Main St. store without paying for the item.
