Justin O. Orsborne, 39, of 114 N. Boggs St., DeGraff, was charged with domestic violence as a result of an incident Wednesday evening at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic dispute at his address about 10:40 p.m., with the caller reporting that her stepdad had injured her mother’s nose.
When deputies arrived, they observed that Orsborne’s wife had blood on her nose and the front of her shirt. She told deputies that during an argument, her husband started yelling and throwing items and then head-butted her in the face.
Riverside EMS responded to the scene to assess her injuries.
Deputies also observed fresh blood in the hallway, dining room and by a bedroom doorway.
Orsborne had left the home and he met with deputies in the parking lot of Steve’s Market and Deli, 300 Cretcher St. He told deputies his wife started screaming at him during an argument and she allegedly punched him in the back and kicked him in the right leg. However, deputies did not observe any signs of injury to Orsborne.
Orsborne said his wife then grabbed a box fan and hit herself in the face with it several times, causing her nose to bleed. Deputies noticed blood splatter across his glasses and hair and on his shirt.
Deputies also examined the box fan at the home and did not observe evidence to suggest that she struck herself with it.
The defendant was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Several children were at the home at the time of the incident and a report has been forwarded to Logan County Children’s Services.

No charges were filed and no injuries were reported, deputies said.
