Dustin R. Harber, 36, of 224 W. Brown Ave., was charged with domestic violence as a result of an incident Monday afternoon.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to his address about 12:45 p.m. on a report of a fight.
His sister-in-law, who also lives at the residence, told officers that an argument had occurred between her and Harber. She said he slapped her in the face, which gave her a bloody nose and a cut on the inside of her lip.
Harber admitted to slapping his sister-in-law. He said she had raised her hands at him “like she was going to fight.” He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Robert L. Board, 57, of 715 W. Chillicothe Ave., Apt. 8, was charged with assault relating to an incident Sunday evening.
Officers responded about 8:45 p.m. to his address on a report of a fight in-progress.
Involved parties had been separated upon officers’ arrival. Individuals reported that a fight had occurred regarding parking arrangements at the apartment complex.
Robert C. Anderson, 53, reported that he was moving his truck when Board began yelling at him. Anderson said Board then approached him and punched him several times and he fell to the ground. Officers observed that he had lacerations to his left eye, nose and face, a cut on his left elbow, and a scratch across the middle of his back.
Board told officers that Anderson began “walking up” on his girlfriend, and the defendant felt like Anderson was threatening her and was trying to engage him in a fight.
Officers also were able to review a cell phone video recording of the fight. Board was placed under arrest and lodged in the jail.
• Officers also responded about 7 p.m. Monday to 409 W. Brown Ave., in reference to an assault.
A 23-year-old woman said a named female had punched her in the face several times before leaving in a vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries to her face, officers said. She declined medical attention.
