Randall L. Erwin Jr., 67, of 10432 Township Road 52, Lakeview, was charged with using weapons while intoxicated and disorderly conduct following an incident at his address early this morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the home about 2:50 a.m. in reference to a disturbance.
His wife, Deborah V. Erwin, 66, reported that Mr. Erwin came home that evening intoxicated and that he was verbally abusive toward her.
She reported that he grabbed a pistol and made threats to shoot at their dogs.
He reportedly then went outside and shot off the pistol. Ms. Erwin said she then left the residence after gathering their dogs.
Deputies also spoke with the defendant, and recovered a pistol near where he had been seated.
Mr. Erwin told deputies that he shot the gun off outside to get his dogs to come in.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
