Pedro L. Moreno-Castro, 38, of Lima, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle related to an incident Sunday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 10 p.m. to the area of U.S. Route 33 and U.S. Route 68 on a report of a vehicle in the median.
Moreno-Castro reportedly was operating a westbound vehicle on U.S. 33 when he traveled off the left side of the road into the median and became stuck in approximately 2 to 3 feet of snow.
While speaking with the driver on the scene, deputies learned that he did not have a valid driver’s license. He also admitted that the vehicle belonged to his girlfriend and that she had not given him permission to drive it.
Deputies spoke with his girlfriend via telephone and she confirmed that Moreno-Castro did not have permission to drive the vehicle. He also was cited for driving under suspension and failure to control and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Teen lodged for domestic violence
Draven Vincent, 19, of 8929 County Road 11, DeGraff, was charged with domestic violence relating to an incident at his residence Monday evening.
Deputies responded to his address about 7:30 p.m. on a report of a runaway teen.
Vincent’s parents reported they had confronted him that day and he became angry and reportedly shoved his father and called his mother inappropriate names and then took off on foot.
