James E. Souders, 35, of Marion, was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance and illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility related to an incident Saturday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 8:35 p.m. to 7205 County Road 121, Ridgeway, on a report of a man who appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine and was causing issues for the property owners.
Deputies located the defendant upon their arrival and reported that he had been arrested early that morning at 12:20 a.m. for a charge of possession of drugs. He had been released from the Logan County Jail on bond and had returned to the same property. He was continuing to cause issues, acting paranoid and stating that individuals were conspiring to “kill him,” the property owners said.
Souders told deputies that he had not consumed any methamphetamine since the previous day. He said he smoked the drug several times that week, but that it would “not effect him” or cause him to become paranoid.
He was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and was transported back to the jail. At the jail, corrections officers located a package with a single strip of suboxone on his person. He stated that he did not have a prescription for the suboxone.
