Gregory O. Jutte, 50, of 112 W. Patterson Ave., was arrested on five charges of aggravated menacing and a single count of improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle.
Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, he approached a group four teenagers and a 23-year-old Columbus woman along a north/south alley west of the 300 block of south Main Street and threatened them with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department found him at his residence and he admitted exiting his pickup truck with a shotgun to intimidate the group. He told police there was criminal activity in the area and he wanted to drive away what he perceived to be a “gang.”
He was arrested and a single-shot shotgun was recovered from the suspect’s pickup truck along with a single round in the cup holder. Officers noted the gun did not have a visible serial number.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

• Timothy E. Clark, 56, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for menacing around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and was served a failure to appear warrant.
He allegedly threatened Enoch Hicks, 220 Ward St.
Officers lodged him in jail.
