Randy A. Hilliard II, 33, of 7028 County Road 11, DeGraff, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs relating to a traffic stop Sunday evening in Bellefontaine.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on patrol about 9 p.m. in the area of south Main Street near Lake Avenue observed his vehicle make several marked lanes violations. The traffic stop was initiated in the area of south Detroit Street and Carlisle Avenue.
While speaking with Hilliard, deputies observed an odor of alcohol on his breath and when questioned, he stated he had consumed “a few beers” at an area restaurant.
The defendant submitted to field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. At the Logan County Jail, Hilliard submitted to a breath test, with a result of 0.077 blood alcohol content. He also was cited for a marked lanes violation and seat belt violation.
