The Ohio Army National Guard will be conducting training in Logan County throughout the month of February, officials from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Logan County commissioners reported this week.
During this time, residents are advised that there will be occasional appearances with Black Hawk helicopters at the Bellefontaine Regional Airport.
Throughout the duration of the training event, all participants will possess valid picture identification and will not possess weapons, officials related.
The purpose of this training is to conduct movement, navigation, and resourcefulness in an unfamiliar/rural environment.
“Our community is very fortunate to have been selected for this training program,” the officials said in a joint statement. “The training will provide additional public safety preparedness and safety measures for rural communities.”
