For many community members, the sunshine and summertime temperatures are indicators of the Logan County Farmers’ Market is in full swing; however, this year it is a sign that it is time to finally get started, representatives said this week.
The physical market returns to downtown Bellefontaine from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, following six weeks of the Logan County Farmers’ Market Online as the only market option.
This season, the LCFM continues from 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday, June through September in the parking lot across the street from the Post Office at the intersection of Chillicothe and Detroit.
The 2020 season began in May when the LCFM Online debuted as a way to prioritize health and safety of community members during the COVID-19 pandemic, representatives said.
This Saturday, verified market vendors within 40 miles of Bellefontaine will start their morning learning a new setup routine to implement additional safety practices as this season begins.
Customers may notice a slight difference in the physical space as they navigate new foot traffic patterns, vendors are spread out a little further, and more.
With this season’s launch, 7Thirty8 Apparel will have a live printing truck, where attendees can receive a farmers’ market custom designs printed on a variety of merchandise.
Additionally, the LCFM collaborated with Brewfontaine Premier Events this week to bring customers a virtual food demonstration utilizing market products to create “Fresh Sides” for households.
LCFM asks that community members prioritize their health and wellness when choosing to attend the market. For more information, visit www.logancountyfarmersmarket.com.
