The third annual Logan County Bikers for Santa Toy Run is slated for Saturday, Oct. 9.
The event has seen substantial growth each year and organizers report they expect even more riders in 2021. Last year, 187 motorcyclists participated, with many others joining the event after the ride.
Riders leave the Bellefontaine Moose Lodge, 912 S. Detroit St., at 11 a.m.
Organizers are inviting anyone who would like to see the ride begin to gather by Logan County Courthouse around 11 a.m. Children will be able to watch Santa and Mrs. Claus as they ride by and the chance to receive treats from the participants.
The ride travels across Logan County, making an additional stop in Quincy, before ultimately arriving at Desperado’s in Huntsville for the after event.
All paid attendees will receive a free meal and entertainment by Bamboo Haris.
Desperado’s will be the main collection point for donations of toys or money.
As in years’ past, all donations will be given to Lutheran Community Services to be administered and used in their annual Christmas assistance program.
Last year, Logan County Bikers for Santa raised more than $5,000 and received large number of toy donations. All donations stay local to Logan County and all funds and toys donated go directly to those in need, organizers said.
