Logan County Pheasants Forever Chapter 285 was recognized at the recent state PF banquet meeting.
The chapter received the conservation excellence award in recognition of expending a total of $750,000 in support of local and state habitat conservation missions including promotion of and education about youth pheasant hunts.
Only one other state chapter has earned that honor.
Pheasants Forever monies stay local, organizers stress.
The organization’s annual banquet is April 30, and plans are under way for the Oct. 22 annual youth pheasant hunt.
