Liberty Hills Golf Club will play host to the Mad River Golf Association Amateur Tournament on June 25 and 26.
Last year’s winner was Todd Trainer, who is the head golf coach at Mechanicsburg High School.
There will be three flights, which will be set up by handicap. Flight I consists of an index up to 8.5, Flight II is for golfers with an index between 8.6 and 13.5 and Flight III will be for index of 13.6 or above.
“This tournament is similar to the Logan County Open, but also brings in competitive golfers from surrounding counties,” said Liberty Hills owner Roy Clark.
There will be prizes for low gross and low net scores for each flight. The entry fee is $90 and includes the two rounds of golf, cart fee and range fees and a sandwich and drink each day.
Entries will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on June 23. Golfers may enter online at www.playlibertyhills.com
The Mad River Golf Association was created to offer competitive championships for amateur golfers of all ages in west-central Ohio. The MRGA also offers the Wendy’s Junior and MRGA Seniors tournaments.
