Leonard Hugh Sosby, 73, of Jackson Center passed away at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016, at his residence.
He was born in Middletown on Sept. 18, 1942, the son of the late Leonard Avery and Cleta Marie Graham Sosby. He also was preceded in death by his son, Danny Sosby in 2007.
On Sept. 9, 1961, he married the former Mary Golliday, and she survives in Jackson Center along with their daughter, Jodi (Kelly) Morris of Aiken, S.C., three sons; Donnie (Kathy) Sosby of Bellefontaine and Deron (Sherri) Sosby and Dwaine (Tina) Sosby, both of Jackson Center, a daughter-inlaw, Tina Sosby of Jackson Center, 18 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, a brother, Chet (Judy) Sosby of Jackson Center and numerous nieces and nephews.
He worked as a supervisor for Superior Coach in Lima and was a long-time member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine. After retirement, he went back to work for the Village of Jackson Center, which he enjoyed. He liked being outside, as well, cutting wood, but loved watching his grandchildren compete in sporting events.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike St. Jackson Center. Burial is n the church cemetery following services.
