West Liberty-Salem’s girls soccer team could not get its offense in sync Saturday as Lehman Catholic grabbed a 3-1 victory in a Division III regional semifinal at Bellbrook High School.
The Tigers, who were ranked 12th in the final state coaches poll, finished the season 14-4-1. They had beaten the Cavaliers (13-4-1) during the regular season by a 3-2 score.
Gabby Hollar scored WL-Salem’s lone goal on Saturday. She ends her senior season with 21 goals. Hollar has verbally committed to play soccer in college at West Virginia University.
Defensively for the Tigers, Rachel McGill stayed busy with 15 saves in goal.
Lehman faces state-ranked Madeira (19-3-5) on Tuesday in the regional semifinals at Centerville High School.
