West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team used a second-quarter surge to roll past host Northeastern 56-37 on Thursday in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
The Tigers improve to 14-2 overall and 9-0 in the OHC.
It was a slow start for both teams as WL-Salem led 8-6 after the first quarter. The Tigers opened up their offense in the second quarter with a 27-9 run. That put them ahead of the Jets 35-15 at halftime.
WL-Salem outscored Northeastern 13-7 in the third quarter to build a 48-22 cushion.
