West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team dominated both ends of the court Thursday as it ran past visiting Bellefontaine 66-34 in a local non-league matchup.

The Tigers bump their record to 13-2 on the season as the Chieftains drop to 2-13.
WL-Salem raced out to a 20-6 lead after the opening quarter and outscored BHS 14-8 in the second quarter. That quickly lifted the Tigers to a 20-point cushion (34-14) at halftime.
The third quarter saw WL-Salem go on a 20-10 run, which gave the host a 54-24 advantage. The Tigers finished off the game with a 12-10 effort in the fourth quarter.
