West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team improved its record to 15-0 with a 45-33 win over visiting Greenon on Tuesday.
The Tigers, ranked third in the latest Division III state poll, are 11-0 in Ohio Heritage Conference play.
The Knights fall to 4-10, 3-6.
Emily Hollar paced the Tigers with a game-high 18 points. Selena Weaver scored nine points, Hallie Smith had eight points and Grace Estes added five points.
It was a tightly contested first half. The Tigers trailed 11-10 after one quarter before moving in front by one point (19-18) at halftime.
The Tigers began to take control in the third quarter, outscoring the visitors 13-5 to lead 32-23.
WL-Salem continued to pull away in the final period.
In the junior varsity game, the Tigers won 35-16. Caitlyn King led the Tigers with 11 points.
The Tigers return to action Thursday at Triad. It is a varsity-only game that begins at 6 p.m.
