Benjamin Logan’s girls golf team defeated North Union and London in a tri-match Wednesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
The Raiders shot a 179, London had 249 and North Union shot 264.
Sydney Wesson led Ben Logan as the medalist with a 38. She was followed by Taylor Lafferty with a 44, Olivia Hahn with a 48, Leeah Valentine with a 49, Willow Titus with a 56, Charlotte Graham with a 69 and Kensley Lacher with a 70.
The Raiders are back in action today against Northwestern and London at Reid Park.
BHS girls golf team rolls past Shawnee
Kayla Watkins shot a 40 to take medalist honors as Bellefontaine’s girls golf team defeated host Springfield Shawnee 195-224 on Wednesday in a Central Buckeye Conference match at Reid Park.
Providing support for the Chiefs were Madison Taylor with a 43, Anastasia Hiatt with a 51, Kyndal Newkirk with a 61, Emily Taylor with a 62 and Morgan Burden with a 64.
In junior varsity action, Lexi Buffkin had a 57 and Annika Reynolds shot 67.
Bellefontaine is back in action today against Jonathan Alder.
Triad girls lose to Panthers
Triad’s girls golf squad lost to Fairbanks 180-230 on Wednesday at Marysville Golf Club.
The Panthers’ Mary Weisburn was the medalist with a 39.
For Triad, Hannah McManaway shot 54, Audra Millice had 58, Joni Russell shot 58 and Alli Gregg added a 60.
Triad plays next Tuesday at home against Greeneview and Madison Plains.
Minster tops Riverside
Minster tripped up Riverside 204-215 in a girls golf match Wednesday.
Minster’s Layne Voisard was medalist with a 40.
Roz Estep led the Pirates with a 49, Maddie Sanford shot 51, Mia Stallard had a 57, Sasha Stotler had 58 and Malaina Jenkins shot 59.
Riverside also played on Tuesday and fell to Bethel 224-234. Estep had a 52 and Stotler shot 59 to lead RHS.
The Pirates play today against Indian Lake at Cherokee Hills.
BOYS GOLF
Raiders edge Lakers
Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team slipped past Indian Lake 186-191 at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
Ethan Ricketts led the Raiders with a 41. Aiden Elsass shot 46, Jacob Mitchell had a 49, Aaron Vogelsang had 50, Luke McKenrick shot 51 and Kaiden Munz had a 59.
The Lakers’ Lane McPherson was the medalist with a 40.
Also for Indian Lake, Josh Staley carded a 48, Dylan Rice shot 51, Camdon Tuttle had a 52, Ethan Elbert had a 54 and Tyler Michael had a 55.
For Ben Logan’s junior varsity team, Brandon Vogelsang shot a 54 and Gage Hamm had 56.
Triad falls to Madison Plains
Triad’s boys golf team was defeated by Madison Plains 183-186 on Wednesday at Locust Hills Golf Course.
Triad’s Cole Pond was the medalist with a round of 40. Devin Butz shot 47, Matt Richards had 49 and Ryan Gross and Jalen Notts had 50s.
The Cardinals are now 4-2 in Ohio Heritage Conference play and they return to action Monday at National Trail.
