Benjamin Logan’s girls golf team got the season off to a good start Thursday by finishing third out of 16 teams at the Beavercreek Invitational.
The Raiders shot 359, which was the best score of the Division II teams in the field.
Bellefontaine also competed and finished 10th with a 427.
Standout Sydney Wesson fired a 74 to lead the Raiders. That was the second-best score of all golfers.
Also for Ben Logan, Leeah Valentine shot an 89, Olivia Hahn had a 97, Taylor Lafferty shot 99, Kensley Lacher had a 116 and Kate Hahn shot 132.
For the Chiefs, Kayla Watkins led the way with a round of 84. Kyndal Newkirk shot 109, Lexi Buffkin, Morgan Burden and Emily Taylor each shot 117 and Kate Myers had 133.
Ben Logan and Bellefontaine are back in action today for the Central Buckeye Conference preseason tournament at Mill Creek Golf Club.
