Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team found a second-half surge to put away visiting Bethel 44-39 on Monday in a non-league meeting.
The Raiders pick up their third win of the season to improve to 3-6. The Bees fall to 8-6.
“Our seniors continue to carry us during important moments, but more kids are stepping up into their roles every game,” said BL girls head coach Andy Schwochow.
Ben Logan grabbed a 14-11 lead to end the first quarter. Bethel went on a 13-8 run in the second quarter to carry a 24-22 advantage into halftime.
The Raiders got back on track in the third quarter with a 16-10 run. That put them ahead 38-34. They held off the Bees in the final period with a 6-5 effort.
Savannah Pavoni sparked the Lady Raiders with 12 points, Peyton Derr tallied 11 points and Lynzee Cronkleton had nine points.
Ben Logan hosts Graham on Saturday for a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.
