Indian Lake’s girls basketball team battled past visiting Benjamin Logan for a 43-38 overtime win Saturday in local Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.
The Lakers have won five straight and improve to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the CBC Mad River, while the Raiders fall to 2-12, 1-6.
Ben Logan jumped ahead after the first quarter 12-7. Indian Lake took the second quarter 8-7, but still trailed the Raiders 19-15 at halftime.
The Lakers took back the lead in the third quarter with a 14-7 run, which gave them a 29-26 advantage.
Ben Logan outscored Indian Lake 8-5 in the fourth quarter and tied the game 34-34 at the end of regulation. In overtime, the Lakers were able to edge the Raiders 9-4 to pull out the win.
Stephanie Altstaetter fueled the Lakers with 19 points, Allison Kinney recorded 10 points and Kyleigh Huffer chipped in six points.
For the Raiders, Lynzee Cronkleton led her team with 14 points and Elliott Bailey tallied seven points.
In junior varsity action, Ben Logan edged Indian Lake 29-27 in overtime. Mya Burrey sparked the Raiders with 11 points and Georgia Bates had nine points For the Lakers, Haylee Edwards had 12 points and Katie Roby had nine points.
Indian Lake travels to Wapakoneta today for a non-league game. Ben Logan hosts Urbana in another Central Buckeye Conference Mad River contest. INDIAN LAKE 43,
