Indian Lake’s girls basketball team wrapped up the regular season on a winning note Saturday as it used a fourth-quarter surge to down visiting Graham 55-41 in a Central Buckeye Conference makeup game.
The Lakers are now 10-12 overall and finish 6-5 in the CBC Mad River division. The Falcons fall to 2-20, 2-8.
A tightly contested first half saw Indian Lake outscore Graham 15-14 in both the first and second quarters. That put the Lakers ahead 30-28 entering halftime. The Falcons edged the Lakers in the third quarter 8-7, but still trailed 37-36. Indian Lake pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 19-5 run to seal the win.
Kaylee Shelton and Kyleigh Huffer each had 14 points to fuel the Lakers, while Bethany Goliday had 11 points and Kaylie Barlow added eight points.
In junior varsity action, Indian Lake stopped Graham 35-23. Stephanie Altstaetter had 11 points and Katilyn Boberg added eight points for the Lakers. Indian Lake starts Division III tournament play Tuesday against West- Liberty Salem at Northridge High School.
