Visiting Piqua outscored Bellefontaine 20-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 53-40 victory in a non-league girls basketball game Saturday.
The Chiefs fall to 1-1 on the season.
The Indians led 26-23 at halftime and 33-31 after three quarters. They then broke the game open in the final period.
Bellefontaine struggled at the foul line, going 12-of-22 and the Chiefs also committed 15 turnovers.
Hannah Rader paced the Chiefs with 17 points. Carmen Shumaker and Tayteum Vigansky added eight points apiece.
Tylah Yeomans scored 21 points and Karley Johns had 20 to lead Piqua.
In the junior varsity game, Bellefontaine won 53-23. Lizzy Foreman led the Chiefs with 13 points.
Bellefontaine is back in action tonight at Riverside.
