Indian Lake High School junior Katelyn Pippin places a flare along the bike path near Lakeview prior to the Ring of Fire Sunday evening. Members of the Indian Lake High School Key Club once again helped to complete one of Indian Lake’s most popular traditions. Key Club members met at Indian Lake High School and loaded up boxes of flares. Then they delivered the flares to areas of the lake that would otherwise be dark during the Labor Day weekend Ring of Fire. They planted LED flares along the spillway area, Pew Island, Paradise Island and the bike path. The Key Club has partnered with the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce to fill in the Ring of Fire for many years. This project is one of several Key Club activities coming up this fall.
