Kevin Mark Harris, age 63, of Bellefontaine passed away in his home in Puerto Rico early Saturday morning, May 7, 2022. His passing was unexpected, but his final hours were spent walking on the beach with his foster dog, reading, and enjoying a day in paradise with his loved ones.
Kevin was born on April 20, 1959, in Bellefontaine, OH to Donald and Ramona Harris. He is survived by his wife, Laurie, his children, Hannah Snapp (and Aaron Mauro), Evan Snapp, and Kyle Harris, and his sisters, Danyse (and David) Christiansen and Holly (and Adam) VanBuskirk. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred Harris.
Kevin was known for his humor, caring nature, and musical ability. For many years, he was a staple in the orchestra pit for high school musicals and the community jazz band. Prior to his retirement, he operated Saint Paris Pharmacy with his wife. His home played host to innumerable family dinners, impromptu gatherings of the children’s friends, and many sing-alongs in the family kitchen.
A wake will be held at the family’s home on Sunday, May 15, starting at 1 p.m. The residence is at 1198 Township Road 185, Bellefontaine, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the American Heart Association and Our Big Fat Caribbean Rescue.
