KENTON — Officers of the Kenton Police Department reported that the body of a missing 4-yearold boy was found Monday afternoon in the waters of the Scioto River, about two miles from where he had last been seen.
Quinton Ellcessor was found at 4:50 p.m. by a K9 team with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers said the investigation will continue, pending an autopsy.
“We would like to thank our community for the outpouring of support during this difficult time, as well as the massive response we received from local, state and federal agencies that rushed to our aid, when needed,” Police Chief Dennis Musser said.
“We would ask that the public respect the family’s privacy at this time.”
