Tiger boys second at Ben Logan Invite
West Liberty-Salem’s boys junior high track and field team placed second out of 16 teams Thursday at the Benjamin Logan Invitational.
Anna won the boys meet with 118 points, the Tigers were second with 108.3 points and Bellefontaine was third with 71.5 points. Results for this meet were previously printed in Friday’s Examiner.
Earning wins for WL-Salem’s boys were Ethan Cole in the 110 hurdles (17.2) and 200 hurdles (27.3), Nick Burden in the 1,600 (5:08) and the 1,600 relay of McGill, Nick Burden, Cole and Ethan Larson (4:02.8).
Placing second were Ian Wolfe in the 100 (12.2), the 200 (25.06) and the 400 (57.3), Noah Smith in the 1,600 (5:17) and Burden in the 800 (2:21).
Coming in fourth was Larson in the 400 (58.6), while fifth-place finishes came from Larson in the high jump (4-10), Michael Farquarson in the discus (92-0), Smith in the 800 (2:29) and the 800 relay of Chapman, McGill, Havens and Wade (1:54.6).
