John “Johnny” Fredrick Fulmer, 91, born on February 26, 1930, in Huntsville, to John and Alice Fulmer.
John left this life on September 19, 2021. Preceding him in death was his parents, John and Alice Fulmer, a daughter, Debbie Fulmer Bryant, and two great grandchildren, Jason and Hannah Barth.
John leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Carol (Hoke) Fulmer, his children, Chris (Rhonda) Fulmer and Cheryl (Lowell) Lowe, his grandchildren, Leslie Fulmer, Danielle (Nathan) Lattimer, Nathan (Danielle) Price, Nicole (Kevin) Barth, Lucas Fulmer, Jesse Fulmer, and Ray Fulmer, his great-grandchildren, Brayden Barth, Lydia Price, Madison Lattimer, Lane Price, Carson Barth, Daric Barth, Zane Lattimer, and Emmalee Lattimer, and a brother, Carl (Jill) Fulmer.
John graduated from Huntsville School in 1948. On July 18, 1953, he married Carol in DeGraff. Two weeks after their wedding, he was to serve his country in the Korean War. Upon completion of his service, he worked for 30 years at Rockwell of Kenton.
John and Carol had a true love story marriage. They vacationed often to many different states including a 25th wedding anniversary to Hawaii and a cruise to Alaska. John loved his boats, and they took many trips to Tennessee where he loved to fish. John always enjoyed trading vehicles and getting a new car or truck to drive. He was a lover of horses and even showed them at horse shows.
John was a loving husband who took wonderful care of his wife. His children can testify to the fact that they never saw the two of them have an argument over the years of their marriage. He was a good worker and provider. He had a woodshop where he would repair antique furniture and made many wood furniture pieces that the family received and enjoyed. John was the best Dad a child could ever ask for. He was always there for his children, and they have wonderful memories. He taught them how to love and respect their companions through his example of love to their mother. He was a loving grandfather and took time with his grandchildren.
His parting has left a huge hole in our hearts. His memory will live in us forever and we have been so very blessed to have had him all these years.
His grandson, Nathan Price, will begin graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, at Huntsville Cemetery with military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
