Joanna Rose “Joni” Galarneau, 69, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at her childhood home.
She was born in Bellefontaine on May 11, 1952, the daughter of the late Paul F. and Marjorie (Keesecker) Wish. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph P. Wish on 9/5/2021.
On December 11, 1993, she married Ronald G. “Ron” Galarneau and he survives.
She is also survived by two sons, Chad (Kelly) Bolt of Grove City, Adam (Amber) Bolt of Yorba Linda, CA and four grandchildren; Caden, Ashlynn, Jaxson, and Aubrey, and her siblings; Sharon (Gale) Franklin of Jamestown, Sue Caro of Bellefontaine, Jim (Susan) Wish, Joy (Steve) Wish Climer, and Jeanne (Gail) Gildow, all of Bellefontaine, and several nieces and nephews, also leaving behind is her special friend Carol Ward and her beloved dogs, Ghema, Slick and Willow.
Joni was a 1970 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and retired as office manager for Schley Products in California. She adored spending time with her grandchildren, showing and grooming her Giant Schnauzers and spending time with her family; especially special adventures with her sisters. She enjoyed hiking, biking and cross country travels with her husband and 3 dogs in their fifth wheel and she loved interior designing specifically the completion of her brand new kitchen.
Her favorite farewell to her grandchildren was “I love you to the moon and back;” Joni, “We love you to the moon and back.”
Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
