Jerry L. Sullivan, 80, of Richwood, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at his residence.
Having a strong work ethic, he farmed all of his life, mostly raising hogs until 1980. He also drove school buses for Benjamin Logan Local Schools for 22 years. He truly enjoyed being a doting grandpa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born July 21, 1939, in Union County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Marguerite (Bowman) Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Sullivan, and a sister, Karen Hamilton.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Marsha R. (Still) Sullivan; children, Melissa Buyer of West Mansfield, Melinda (Dick) Harshfield of West Mansfield, Marlynn Sullivan of Richwood and Michael (Danielle) Sullivan of Richwood; grandchildren, Matthew (Tina) Buyer, Bryan Buyer, Nicholas Riley, Emma Sullivan, Lucinda Sullivan and Samuel Sullivan; great grandchildren, Styler, Troy, Brylee and McKenzie Buyer; a brother, Darrell (Joyce) Sullivan of West Mansfield; a sister, Gloria Jo (Larry) Phipps of Richwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St., West Mansfield. Ken Purdue will officiate and burial will follow at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home.
