Jeanne M. Stewart, 79, of Wapakoneta, died 2:42 p.m., Wed. Jan. 5, 2022, in the Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Lima, OH, the daughter of Herbert and Anna Marie (Naylor) Kinstle, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 3, 2011, she married James Sutton, who died Jan. 17, 2022. She was previously married to Ora Stewart, and Robert Carey, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include, 5 children, Kimberly Rae “Kim” (William) Cummings, Belle Center, Earl Webster “Web” (Paula) Carey, II, Piqua, Valerie Rose Carey, Wapakoneta, Christina (Ray) Perez, TX, Paul (Jennifer) Sutton, Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Lucas, Garrett and Allison Cummings, Ryan Carey, Tiffany Deering, Dustin Mullen, Brandon Montgomery, Catosha Smith, Jason White, Kayla (Bob) Duncan, Lauren LePage, Jesse Perez, Caleb Sutton, 14 great grandchildren, 5 siblings, Dr. Thomas (Evelyn-dec) Kinstle, Bowling Green, Dr. James (Bonnie) Kinstle, Englewood, FL, Michael (Barbara) Kinstle, Wapakoneta, Samuel (Willine) Kinstle, Wapakoneta, Philip (Judy) Kinstle, Wapakoneta.
In addition to her husbands, Ora Stewart and Robert Carey, Jeanne was preceded in death by a son, Jon Carey; a great grandson, Brayden; sisters, infant Nancy Jane Kinstle, and Kathryn (Carlos) Ward.
Jeanne worked for Marysville Correctional Facility for 17 years as a Corrections Officer. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Church of God, Bellefontaine, OH.
Joint funeral services for Jeanne and her husband, James E. “Jim” Sutton, will be 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Gary Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, and one hour prior to the service, Monday at the funeral home.
Jeanne’s burial will be at a later date in the Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, OH. Jim’s burial will follow Monday in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, where military rites will be conducted.
