Janice A. Bradford, 83, of Rushsylvania passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 in Belle Springs Nursing & Rehab Center, Bellefontaine with her family by her side.
She was born in Bellefontaine, on February 13, 1938, the daughter of the late William Nelson and Florabelle (Phipps) Buffenbarger.
On September 6, 1956 in Rushsylvania, she married Boyd Edwin Bradford, Jr. and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2009. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Jean Bradford on April 1, 2018, and two brothers, Herbert and Melvin Buffenbarger.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Bradford, a granddaughter, Hilery Marie Reese, a great grandson, Aiden Michael Edwin Fout, a sister, Bonnie (Gary) Mangas, a brother-in- law, Daryl Bradford, two sisters-in-law, Eileen Everhart and Patricia Everhart, several nieces and nephews, her cat, Daisey and grand dog, Emily.
Janice was a long-time member of the Ridgeway Church of Christ. She loved animals, enjoyed reading Reader’s Digest and looked forward to opening her U.S. Mail every day. She also enjoyed baking and cooking and was famous for her “Breezy Brownies” and her fried potatoes. She was the world’s best caregiver for her daughter, Holly for 58 years. She was a good and loving sister who loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed talking on the phone.
Pastor Cory Savage will officiate a funeral service on Friday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
