James Wilson Baker, 68, of Belle Center, died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at home.
Born Jan. 8, 1948, in Kenton, a son of the late Robert Glen and Ruby Eileen Hubbard Baker, he also was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, and a brother, John Alfred Baker.
He was a 1966 graduate of Belle Center High School and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in 2000.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracy (Pam Gillen) Baker of Belle Center; stepson, Chris Lewis of Columbus; sisters, Margel (John) Day of West Liberty and Miriam (Jim) Baier of Huntsville; two stepgrandsons; nieces, nephews; and special friends, Lou Connor, Alan Springwind Smith and Pennie Messner.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center. A graveside service begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Belle Center Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland Township Fire Department and BMRT Rescue, the Belle Center Free Public Library and the Belle Center Food Pantry.
