A total of eight local softball players earned first-team honors and Indian Lake’s Sammi Miller repeated as player of the year on the recently released all-Central Buckeye Conference squad.
Miller, a junior standout for the Lakers, was name the Mad River division’s player of the year for the second year in a row. She batted a league-best .637 and led the Mad River division with seven home runs.
Kenton Ridge’s Carly Turner was named the Kenton Trail division player of the year.
Local players earning CBC first-team honors in the Mad River division were Benjamin Logan’s Tahlsa Bowshier, Taylor Coy, Kenzie Heater and Kinzie Jones, while Indian Lake saw Miller and Brooke Lewis both earn first-team spots.
Bellefontaine’s Caitlin Hollar and Jaelynn Roberts were name to the Kenton Trail first-team squad.
