Indian Lake’s boys basketball team came away with another comfortable victory over visiting Urbana on Friday in a 69-55 Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division game.
The Lakers, who beat the Hillclimbers 57-44 earlier this season, push their record to 10-7 overall and 6-1 in the Mad River division. The Hillclimbers dropped their fourth straight and fall to 5-9, 3-4.
Urbana got the jump on Indian Lake in the first quarter for a 14-10 lead.
The Lakers found an offensive surge in the second quarter, though, going on a 30-15 run for a 40-29 halftime lead.
Indian Lake stayed in front by 11 (51-40) after three quarters. The Lakers closed out the win with an 18-15 run in the final period.
Austin Parker poured in a game-high 31 points to pace the Lakers. Zander Barnes and Nate Reichert each had 13 points and Chris LaRiva chipped in six points.
For Urbana, Marion Krebehenne and Nasir Cocharn led the way with 13 points each and Grant Hower had nine points.
In junior varsity action, Urbana topped Indian Lake 68-48. Caleb Wurster led the Lakers with 18 points.
Indian Lake travels to Kenton Ridge on Tuesday for a CBC crossover game.
