The Indian Lake EMS Ambulane District board seeks resources such as legal advice and representation from the Logan County Prosecutor’s office.
Russells Point Mayor Robin Reames, who is the Russells Point representative on the Indian Lake EMS board, said during Russells Point’s Monday evening regular meeting that at one time she was told the county prosecutor’s office didn’t have the resources to serve the Indian Lake EMS — and she is asking if they have the resources now.
“The Logan County website for the prosecutor’s office says what they do … and it says they represent EMS,” she said.
“This office represents every governmental agency in the county,” according to the Logan County website “The auditor, treasurer, recorder (and) joint fire and ambulance districts, to name just a few.”
The Indian Lake EMS board has questions about protocol and procedure for selling its old EMS building.
“We are trying to see if anything had changed where they could or if they have resources to represent us,” Reames said, adding that she has yet to hear back from the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
Reames also announced the village will have a yard waste collection at 10 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 10, for village residents only.
The collection is for organic and compost waste — grass clippings, leaves, garden waste and garden compostable waste.
“(Village residents) will need to show a water bill or proof of residence,” Reames explained.
During the month of October Mayor’s Court collected a total of $2,165.
Council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the mayor and clerk to execute an agreement with Miami Valley Lighting for the purpose of street lighting on a second reading.
A pay scales ad-hoc committee meeting was set for Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. for the purpose of adjusting pay scales for staff.
Village offices will be closed Nov. 29 for Black Friday. Employees have the option of working or using earnedtime off.
The next regular meeting is Nov. 19.
