The United Way of Logan County is funding a pilot program with 4C for Children to expand child care options for working families in Logan County and to license in-home providers before the end of the year.
The six-session training begins next month and all costs are covered by the United Way allocation.
The program is available for individuals who currently offer child care in their homes and wish to earn additional money, or for those who are interested in starting an in-home child care business.
Interested individuals should contact United Way at (937) 592-2886 or Caitlin Hackett at 4C for Children at 937-723-2722 by Sept. 25.
Earlier this year, a pair of providers were licensed through the first session of the pilot program. Licensed in-home child care providers can receive state-funding for their services, meaning they can earn more money than the rates they typically charge.
There are also many additional supports for licensed programs that help increase the quality of provided services.
