Lakeview area native Staff Sgt. Shylar McIntire recently completed U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy in Ft Jackson, S.C.
McIntire will be stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga., as a drill sergeant.
A son of Steve and Cindy McIntire, he graduated from Indian Lake High School in 2012. He entered the U.S. Army shortly after high school. McIntire and his wife have three children.
