PETERSON |
Wesley A. Peterson, 43, and his wife, Tammy L. Peterson, 37, both of 445 Union St., Lakeview, each was charged with domestic violence following an incident at their residence Wednesday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to their address about 8:45 p.m. Mr. Peterson reportedly had contacted the sheriff’s office, stating that his wife had been assaulted by their daughter.
However, when deputies arrived, they found that Mr. Peterson was intoxicated. He said he and his wife had been arguing, and that she knocked a beer out of his hand.
Mrs. Peterson said the argument started when her husband was rude to a guest at the home. The couple’s children reported that their mother had knocked the beer out of his hand, and that Mr. Peterson then began pushing their mother.
One of their children tried to intervene and inadvertently hit Mrs. Peterson with a beer can.
Mrs. Peterson was issued a summons for domestic violence, and also for possession of marijuana after a small amount of marijuana and seeds were found at the home.
Mr. Peterson was arrested for domestic violence and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
