Nine Allied Health and Nursing students from the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center will advance to the National Health Occupations Students of America Leadership Conference after competing at the Ohio HOSA competition at the University of Toledo April 5 and 6.
The HOSA competition challenges students in a variety of events such as medical terminology, procedures, laws and ethics, and history of the health care field.
The following Allied Health and Nursing students will compete in Nashville, Tenn., at the National HOSA Leadership Conference in June:

• The Ohio Hi-Point HOSA Bowl Team, consisting of Brett Rappold (Riverside High School), Paige Butler (Marysville High School), Aisha Patrick (Benjamin Logan High School) and Madison Rogan (Bellefontaine High School), placed first.
• Gabriella Livingston (Marysville High School) placed first in Medical Law and Ethics.
• Shelby Collins (Marysville High School) placed second in Clinical Nursing.
• Alexa Arms (Marysville High School) placed third in Clinical Nursing.
• Lyndsey Eshelman (West Liberty-Salem High School) placed third in Personal Care.
• Sadrian Garver (Graham High School) advanced for national recognition for the Ohio Hi-Point HOSA Chapter Reflection Scrapbook.
