Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a hit-skip crash that occurred about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of 3722 U.S. Route 68.
Deputies on patrol in the area observed that a telephone pole was hanging upside down by its wires and stopped to investigate. Tire marks were found were nearby and a mud flap from a semi tractor was also found at the scene.
From evidence at the scene, deputies said the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck the telephone pole. The vehicle then continued through the ditch and struck a mailbox at 3722 U.S. 68. Investigation continues.
