Triad’s boys basketball team could not contain a hot-shooting Fairlawn squad Tuesday as the Jets cruised to a 75-53 non-league victory.
The Jets stretch their record to 8-5 and the Cardinals drop to 1-12 on the season.
Fairlawn jumped in front of Triad 18-10 after the opening quarter. The Jets used a 24-17 run in the second quarter for a 42-27 lead at halftime.
The Jets stretched their lead to a 64-39 after the third quarter.
Ayden Spriggs led the Cardinals with 18 points, Drew Campbell tallied 13 points and Batai Lease and Greg Sizemore both chipped in six points.
In junior varsity action, Triad edged Fairlawn 38-36. Jacob Warner sparked the Cardinals with 12 points and Wyatt Cole had 10 points.
Triad hosts Mechanicsburg today in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
