Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed two new members, Logan County resident Ben Vollrath and Greene County resident Becka Rowland-Buckley, to the Clark State College Board of Trustees.
The board appointments run through Nov. 30, 2028.
Vollrath is the first board appointee from Logan County. He joined the Logan County Chamber of Commerce as president in August of 2018. His primary focus is advancing the economic development efforts of the community.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College in Chicago and his MBA from Capital University in Columbus.
“Ben Vollrath’s background in economic and workforce development will positively impact the college as we continually respond to workforce needs,” said Clark State President Dr. Jo Alice Blondin.
“The College is also happy to welcome its first Board member who represents Logan County.”
In 2018, Vollrath received his designation as a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council.
“I am excited to be part of a great institution that understands the need and means to equip today’s workforce with academic, professional, and technical skills,” he said. “I look forward to increasing the ties and impact between Clark State and my home area of Logan County as well as the entire Clark State service territory.”
Gov. DeWine also reappointed Sharon Evans to continue in her role as a board member. Two longtime board members, Jim Doyle and Brad Phillips, will retire from their roles with the Clark State Board of Trustees.
