West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball could not get its offense on track Tuesday en route to a 46-13 loss to host Ft. Loramie in a non-league game.
It was the first loss of the season for the Tigers, who are now 3-1. The Redskins stay unbeaten at 4-0.
Ft. Loramie held a 9-2 lead after the opening quarter and outscored WL-Salem 8-5 in the second quarter. That gave the Redskins a 10-point cushion (17-7) at halftime.
The Redskins poured it on in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 29-6 over the final two quarters.
Selena Weaver led the Tigers with five points and Emily Hollar had four points.
Ft. Loramie won the junior varsity contest 47-9. Aubrey Laing led the Tigers with four points.
WL-Salem travels to neighboring Triad on Thursday for a varsity only contest.
