A motorist and three passengers were transported by squads from a 12:40 p.m. crash Monday, Sept. 19, on Main Street near Maple Avenue.
Nathan L. Sparks, 60, and his passengers, James Sharon, 79; Dorothy M. Sharon, 78; and Connie M. Sparks, 59, were taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report. Each of the Orient residents sustained possible injuries, according to the crash report.
They were in a southbound sport utility vehicle in the curb lane when Dakota A. Shell, 17, of Huntsville, turned his northbound SUV left and struck the Sparks vehicle.
The collision forced the Sparks SUV off the roadway, officers report.
Damage was heavy to the vehicles. Dakota was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield while turning left.
• Chelsea R. Brown, 29, of Bellefontaine, was cited for improper passing after a two-vehicle crash at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the 200 block of south Main Street.
Officers report she was operating a southbound sport utility vehicle and attempted to pass an SUV operated by Rebecca A. Berry, 43, of Zanesfield. Brown was behind Berry and drove to the right through parking spaces as Berry was turning into a parking stall.
Damage was light.
Motorist cited for passing bus
Paul T. Patrick, 23, of Bellefontaine, was issued a traffic citation for failure to stop for a stopped school bus around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. A Bellefontaine City Schools bus driver recorded the registration of Patrick’s car as he drove eastbound past her bus in the 600 block of west Sandusky Avenue.
