Students across the Indian Lake School District are caring and sharing for others this Thanksgiving season.
The annual Indian Lake Schools district-wide food drive brought in an estimated 5,000 pounds of food.
Monday, student council members from Indian Lake High School, Indian Lake Middle School and Indian Lake Elementary School and Key Club members loaded up all the canned food items and non-perishables. Then they delivered nearly six vehicles full of food to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Russells Point.
ILHS student council adviser Andrea Jacobs said Indian Lake should be proud of this effort, especially during the pandemic.
Several top-collecting classes at ILHS and ILMS will get to enjoy donuts following Thanksgiving break.
All students at ILES will get an ice cream treat at lunch for helping reach their goal of filling 25 boxes.
