Joshua C. Williams, 45, of Woodstock, Ohio, was charged Sunday with persistent disorderly conduct.
Officers report he was at 850 Bonnie Lane, Apt. 400, at 6 p.m. banging on the door in effort to get his children as their mother, Megan L. Preston-Brooks, was serving a three-day sentence at Tri-County Regional Jail in Mechanicsburg.
A friend was spending the weekend babysitting the children. Williams did not have any custodial paperwork for officers to review and Preston-Brooks called from Tri-County while officers were on the scene.
Officers also talked with the mother’s caseworker and determined it was best for the children to remain at the Bellefontaine residence.
Passenger faces felony drug charge
Crystal D. Stevens, 26, of 1208 Greenwood St., was charged Friday with felony possession of methamphetamine, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was a passenger in a car operated by Ronald W. Kosiek, 27, of Bellefontaine, who was stopped at 2 p.m. in the 400 block of Walker Street for failing to signal for a turn.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Departmetn report it appeared Kosiek and Stevens were attempting to conceal items just after stopping.
A search of the sport utility vehicle was given and officers located a black pouch inside Stevens’ purse that contained a pipe commonly used for methamphetamine abuse. A mint tin inside the pouch had 17 pills and four small chunks of methamphetamine.
Stevens was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Two charged with criminal trespassing
Stephanie J. Holsinger, 42, at large, was charged Sunday with criminal trespassing.
Around 9:30 p.m., officers met with Paul and Delores Clarico at their 424 W. Brown Ave. residence. They told officers the suspect entered the home through a rear window and took off with a suitcase, duffle bag and paper bag when they came home to find her in the residence.
Holsinger is Mrs. Clarico’s daughter and had been staying with the couple until they kicked her out of the residence.
Officers found signs of forced entry into an enclosed back porch. She returned to the residence within an hour and was taken into custody.
She was lodged in jail.
• Calvin L. Davis Jr., 54, of 428 Clark Ave., was charged Saturday with criminal trespassing and public intoxication.
Around 5 p.m., officers determined Davis was too drunk to care for himself after falling in the 200 block of north Elm Street. They also learned he had entered a nearby residence without permission.
He was lodged in jail after he was unable to contact a sober friend.
This angered Williams who began yelling at officers. He would not stop and was arrested.
He reportedly apologized for his actions while en route to jail.
