Bellefontaine Easton Water fell in the first round of the state Acme baseball tournament to Van Wert 5-1 on Sunday at Elida High School.
The state tournament was originally scheduled to begin Saturday, but rain forced the tournament to be pushed back a day.
Easton Water finished the season with a 20-4 record and were District 6 champions.
On Sunday, Bellefontaine’s Alex Pulfer threw a complete game, but suffered the loss.
Offensively for Easton Water, Gage Pope led the team with two hits and scored the lone run.
